| Bill Pernini |
Bill Pernini, Lead Maintenance Technician, joined Pinellas
County Head Start/Early Head Start in July of 2002. A short
time later Bill was promoted to Lead Maintenance Tech in
order to assist his supervisor Jim Morphew, in the supervisory/maintenance
tasks encountered daily by this very busy Service Area.
Since then Bill has proved himself to be a knowledgeable
professional and an outstanding asset to the Maintenance
Department. Bill goes out of his way to satisfy the needs
of all staff members. He becomes so totally engrossed in
his work and strives to do the best job possible to create
a "Satisfied Customer", that at times Bill has
to be reminded when its time to go home.
During the renovation of the new Administration Building,
Bill was given the exclusive assignment of overseeing this
monumental construction and renovation task through to its
completion. Bill took on the overwhelming responsibility
of seeing that this job was done properly and on time. Bill
assumed complete ownership of the project doing much of
the work himself and overseeing the work of hired sub-contractors
who commonly referred to the job site as "Pernini's
Building".
Bill continues to work tirelessly with the same enthusiasm
at the end of the day as he has at the beginning of the
day. His energetic personality and love of his job truly
entitles him to the designation of "Lead Maintenance
Technician Extraordinaire".
