“Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
 Become A Community Volunteer”

Goal - $2,000,000 in donated time and resources annually.

Volunteer time = in-kind dollars.

Head Start/Early Head Start needs you as part of its team! Community volunteers play an important role in the lives of our families and children as well as providing a benefit to our program. Volunteer time equals in-kind dollars. The program must come up with over two million dollars in donated time and resources annually.

As a volunteer you can:

  • Read to children, enhancing their language rich Head Start environment
  • Join children as they play and learn
  • Go on field trips and see a child's world expand
  • Train staff or parents in your area of expertise
  • Serve as a community representative on the Head Start or Early Head Start Governance Board
  • Adopt a center and become a part of its weekly activities
  • Beautify a center with your gardening skills or other talents
  • Donate funds or materials. All donations are tax-deductible

Many people like you already volunteer, from high school students to business executives to retirees.
